Singapore International Storytelling Festival
21 story tellers from around the world sharing their tales with Singapore. This is the largest storytelling event in the region.
Amongst the yarns being spun, several classes will also be held. Apart from their entertainment value, storytellers also have great influence in the corporate world. Stories aren’t just for children. Learn more at the masterclass on business narrative.
This event has something for everyone. Who doesn’t like a good story? And writers, dear writers, if we can’t tell a good story, then we should just go back to our day jobs.

Dan Poynter is back in town. Dan is a leading expert and champion for self-publishing. He’s written over 120 books, appeared on CNN and presented seminars all around the plane. This all stems from his loving of throwing himself out of airplanes at very great heights. His book camp: Writing, Publishing and Promoting Your Book may just change your mind about the publishing industry and how you go about turning your ideas into reality. I’ve been to a mini session with Dan this year. Based on that I would say that this is aimed more at the non-fiction side of writing but would still have something for creative writers.
